Defining Character

Your character’s way of thinking as well as the thoughts themselves, help to define character. From time to time, let the reader sneak a peek into the character’s thought process. Especially effective when dealing with his latest crisis. You May love your characters (and your reader might too) you may hate your characters (as your reader might) but you may NOT feel indifferent toward your characters.
Someone once said, “No tears in the writer’s eye, no tears in the readers eye.” So, don’t let your characters be flat and non-people-like beings. Emotions are what create reader involvement.
